Obituary of Opal Haggard Phillips
Opal Haggard Phillips, 73, passed away at home on December 14, 2020 in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. Born in Pulaski County Kentucky on December 5, 1947 she was the daughter of the late Gladstone and Ruby Siple Haggard. Opal was married to the late Howard Cecil Phillips.
Opal graduated from Anderson County High School. Opal was retired from the Anderson County Senior Citizen Center, a life long member (volunteer) of Alton Baptist and then Sand Spring Baptist Church, and a hospice volunteer. Opal loved antiquing and arts & crafts.
Opal is survived by two sons, Jaime Len Phillips of Lawrenceburg and Howard Darrin Phillips (Tracy Davidson Phillips) of Georgetown; and two sisters, Paulette Brewer and Jeanette Robinson.
Opal was predeceased by her parents, Gladstone and Ruby Siple Haggard; her husband, Howard Cecil Phillips; and a son, Anthony Duane Phillips.
There are no services scheduled at this time.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Saffell House Funeral Home.
