Prayers to the family I only wish I could've met him years ago. My first time seeing him was at the Blankenship reunion in Muncie, Indiana several years ago.

Pam, I am so sorry for your loss. Your loss is also our loss. It was a pleasure to have met him. I remember him smiling and having a good time that day, it was a moment in time that I actually felt close to him, my grandfather Frank, and my great grandfather Sherman, as he embodied all of them to me. The last of the originals. The world lost a good man.may you rest in peace Uncle Carl.

My thoughts and prayers are with you Loretta, Pam, and David. One of the first things I thought of when Pam called and told me her daddy had passed is that he was fishing non-stop now. I remember when you all lived in Athens he would make that doughy ball stuff he used for bait and we would pile up in the truck and go fishing at Jacobson Park. He would love to pick on me or always trying to make me laugh. Which he did. He also, had been my protector a time or two. I will never forget this man. Much love to all of you.

Aunt Loretta, Pam & David and family I am so very sorry for the loss of Uncle Carl. He sure was one of the good guys. Always laughing and cracking a joke no matter where you were at. Even though I didn't see him as much as possible he will be deeply missed. Love you all. Vickie
