Obituary of Daniel Calvin Ennis

Daniel C. Ennis, age 53, passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2024. He was born on March 29, 1971, in Bowling Green, KY, to the late Willard Ernest Ennis and Shirley Ann Young Ennis.

Daniel graduated from Allen County High School in the class of 1990 and grew up in Scottsville, KY. After graduation, he joined the Navy, serving his country for four years on active duty. During his military service, he earned certificates in HVAC and became a journeyman HVAC technician. It was also during this time that he met his wife, Chandra Schmelzer Ennis.

After completing his service in 1995, Daniel and Chandra moved to Tennessee, where he began working in the HVAC field, though his stay was brief. They later relocated to Lawrenceburg, KY, where they would spend most of their lives. Daniel owned and operated his own business, Absolute Comfort, for many years. He was a member of the Overland Church of Christ and enjoyed outdoor activities such as hunting, target shooting, and riding side-by-sides.

He is survived by his siblings, Sherri Morgan (Chris), Kathy Pardue (Larry), Joel Ennis (Michelle), Toby Ennis (Susan), and Jerry Ennis; and 11 nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Daniel was predeceased by his wife, Chandra Ennis.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 13, 2024, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Saffell House Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at 11 a.m. with visitation preceding from 10 to 11 a.m.. A private family graveside will take place in the near future.

Pallbearers are Logan Morgan, Adam Willingham, Dakota Ennis, Clay Ennis, Korbin Ennis, and Chase Ennis. Honorary Pallbearers are Katelyn Baker, Hallie Howell, Brianna Ennis, Gracie Ennis, Ashley Watson, and Austin Cooper.
