John Bradley

Obituary of John W. Bradley

John W. Bradley (Jack), 74, was born in Aurora, Illinois on January 06, 1950.  He passed away September 27, 2024 in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, at his daughter’s home.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents Alvera A. (Ploessl) Bradley and John William Bradley.

Those who will mourn his passing but cherish his memory include: his spouse, Susanna J. Schumacher; daughter, Jamie B. Abell (Jeremy); grandson, Kai Abell; and sisters, Kathleen (John) Testin,  Kristine (Douglas) Hartman and Janice Bradley; beloved dog’s, Chevy, Lena, and Rooty; plus, many other relatives and friends.

Jack attended college at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, IL, but was a life-long learner pursuing interests in motorcycles, outdoor sportsmanship, musical instruments, and history. He lived and worked many places, but spent much of his life in Stillwater, Oklahoma, before settling in the Fox Valley area of Wisconsin.

Jack was a gracious father and friend - a constant source of strength and encouragement.  He loved God and felt his presence in nature.  Though he battled Parkinson’s Disease for 13 years, he always found joy and never lost his ability to make others laugh.

He will be deeply missed, but we are thankful for God’s mercy.  Jacks love and legacy will live on as we seek to honor his memory.  May he be remembered as a faithful, kind, just man.

In Jack’s honor, take time to enjoy the peace and stillness of a sunrise.

We are grateful for those who provided care and helped with a peaceful passing: Thomas Hamilton MD; Caretender’s home health agency; Donna Edwards; and Hospice – Bluegrass Care Navigators (Evette Hill).
