Obituary of Randall James Reynolds

Randall “Jimmy” James Reynolds, 74, passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2024. He was born on July 4, 1949, to his late parents, Ruben S. Reynolds and Maggie Garland Reynolds. Jimmy was married to his wife, Rhonda Dunn Reynolds.

Originally born in Lexington, Kentucky, Jimmy was raised in Versailles and spent many years there before making his home in Nicholasville, Kentucky. He was a member of the Apostolic Worship Holiness Church in Nicholasville. Jimmy was a home painter, upholstery installer, and loved to do some wood working. He was a collector of various items, including eagle figurines and hot wheels.

Jimmy is lovingly remembered and survived by his wife; Rhonda Reynolds; children, Randall E. Reynolds (Judy), Matthew Reynolds (Jackie), and Sarah Strohl (Stephen); step-children, Stacy Dennis (Eddie) and Aaron Bryan; siblings, Nan Courtney, Ruben Reynolds, Jackie Reynolds, and Bill Reynolds; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Along with his parents, Jimmy is predeceased by his first wife, Ann G. Wilson Reynolds; siblings, Flossie Martin, Ernestine Martin, Patricia Reynolds, Donald Martin, Amos Martin, and Arthur Martin; and one grandchild; Stephen Wayne Reynolds.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 from 12-1 at Saffell House Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be immediately following on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at 1 p.m. with a graveside service immediately following at Midway Cemetery. Family friend, Ronnie Simpson will officiate the service; assisted by Pastor Rodney Murphy.

Pallbearers will be Justin Spaulding, Tony Spaulding Jr., Steven Wagner,  Sam Wilson, Brandon Hodge, Steven Sumpter, and Travis Reynolds.

Honorary Pallbearers will be David Wening, Shane Dennis and Andrew Reynolds.
