Obituary of Lula Mae Bishop

Lula Mae Foley Bishop, 71, passed away on July 21, 2022. Lula was the wife of the late John F. Bishop. Born in Versailles, Kentucky, on April 26, 1951, she was the daughter to the late William Elijah and Anna Mae Kirkland Foley. Lula attended Lafayette High School in Lexington and lived in Versailles, Lexington and Lawrenceburg through her life. Lula was a member of the Little Texas Community Church in Lexington. She loved spending time with her sister (Nannie), taking walks in the park, watching cooking shows, Elvis and teddy bears. Lula is predeceased by her husband, John F. Bishop; parents, William Elijah and Anna Mae Kirkland Foley; sisters, Frances Lee Cummins and Nannie Cummins; and a brother, Billy Foley. She is survived by her children, Melissa Gilliam, Danielle Bishop, William Bishop, Ricky Bishop, and Frankie Bishop; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
