Obituary of Rita Carol Barnett

Rita Carol Barnett, 67, passed away on Friday, June 3, 2022. She was born on October 10, 1954 in Marion County, KY to the late Charles Edison Curtsinger and Gayle Dwayne Drury Peach. She was the wife of Lester Carl Barnett. Rita went to Washington County School and Western Anderson. Rita was a member of the OCC Country Church. She loved to cook and gave of her time caring for others needs. Rita is survived by her husband, Lester Carl Barnett; daughters, Carolyn Adams, Donna Morris (Michael), Paula Lewis (Barry), and Carlena Norton (John); sons, Lester Carl Barnett Jr. (Kathy) and Jeff Lynn Barnett (Sabrina); sister, Sheila Etherton; brothers, Charlie Peach and Merle Peach; grandchildren, Jessica, Kayla, Lindsey, Brenda, Amber, Harold, Josie, Karie, Tristan, Megan, Dylan, Madison, Shelby, Brianna, Jacob and Brooklyn; 11 great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Lucy her dog. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles Edison Curtsinger and Gayle Dwayne Drury Peach; daughter, Lisa Michelle Barnett; sister, Donna Curtsinger; brothers, Larry Curtsinger, Eddie Curtsinger and Ronald Peach. Visitation will be held at Saffell House Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 from 5-8 p.m.. Visitation will also precede the funeral service on Thursday, June 9, 2022 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m at Saffell House Funeral Home, with the funeral service beginning at 1 p.m.. The graveside service will immediately follow the funeral service on Thursday at Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Barry Lewis, John Norton, Jacob Norton, Larry Shouse, Doug Shouse, Tommy Peach, Robert Curtsinger, Shannon Howard, and Jr. Barnett. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ed Waldridge, Charlie Bill Montgomery, Richard Etherton and Charlie Peach. Arrangements have been entrusted to Saffell House Funeral Home.
